Do you have any kind of disability or impairment? Would you like to be paid generously for a few hours of your spare time? We regularly need people with a variety of visual, cognitive and motor impairments to work on accessibility testing projects.

Do I need any skills or experience?

You don't need any particular skills or experience, and we welcome diversity in terms of age, background, computer literacy and Internet experience.

Unlike some companies we don't just leave you to get on with it alone, but you will work as a pair with one of our skilled testers.

Do I need any equipment?

None at all. We can provide all the necessary hardware and software although many users prefer to use their own. In fact this is preferable because it avoids the possibility of the results being influenced while you adapt to an unfamiliar user interface.

Where do I go to do this work?

It's up to you. You can come to our Test Centre in Staines, but in most cases we prefer to work in your home because you will be more comfortable using your own equipment in familiar surroundings. On occasion we may need to work at a customer's premises or at some other location but we will always provide as much assistance as possible with any travel requirements.

At present most of our testing is conducted in and around London but we would like to hear from you regardless of your location.

How do I get involved?

Contact Steve Green, our Technical Director at recruitment@accessibility.co.uk or by telephone on 0870 855 3370. We will need to know about your disability or impairment, age range, location, level of computer literacy and Internet experience, ability to travel and details of your computer equipment and any assistive technologies you use.
